Mr. Pirate
Faces often work best in things such as e-mail or a Web page, in which you can use center alignment. When you have left alignment, such as in an ICQ message, the faces can get lopsided. However, the fun here is experimentation!
So, to create Mr. Pirate:
(__@__)
<ô¿ø>
~°~
V
Type an open-parenthesis ( 2 underscores_ an "at" sign @ 2 more underscores, and a close parenthesis ), and hit Enter.
On the next line, type a less-than sign < use an o-circumlflex accent, which is Alt+0244 ô an inverted question mark, which is Alt+168 ¿ a slash-o, which is Alt+0248 ø and finish with a greater-than sign >.
On the next line, type a tilde ~ then a degree symbol, which is Alt+0176 ° then type another tilde.
Finally, finish Mr. Pirate's beard with a capital V.
And now you can take the ball and run with it. If you create any interesting characters, please e-mail me using an HTML mail! And if you would like to see some other examples of smileys, check out Dave Barry's Emoticon Site. LMAO!!!
